Once your account is set up, most quotes take under 3 minutes. For waterjet jobs, upload the DXF file — the engine calculates cut paths, pierce points, and costs automatically in seconds. For construction quotes, enter the room dimensions and the engine generates the full line-item breakdown. Quote, review, send. That is the whole process.

Questions about getting started

Do I need to know anything technical to set up?

No. SimplyQuoting is built for trade business owners, not IT teams. If you can fill in a form and upload a logo, you can set up your account. The whole process takes under an hour.

What if I take quotes over the phone, not online?

That is Path B — the owner-led flow. Start a new quote, enter the job details, and let the engine calculate everything. You do not need a customer intake form to use SimplyQuoting. Most users do a mix of both paths depending on the job.

Can I send quotes before I have finished setting everything up?

Yes. You can send a quote as soon as you have chosen your engine and entered your rates. Branding, templates, and the customer intake form can all be refined later. The goal is to get your first quote out fast.

What happens after a client accepts a quote?

You get an instant notification. The quote is marked as Accepted in your dashboard. From there you can track the job, follow up, or use the quote as the basis for an invoice in your accounting tool.
